Someone who combines deep technical expertise with a proactive mindset and the drive to build things the right way.<\/p>\n<h2>What you\u2019ll be doing<\/h2>\n<p>This role goes far beyond \u201ckeeping the lights on.\u201d You\u2019ll be shaping the future of our infrastructure, ensuring that our systems remain secure, reliable, and future-proof. You\u2019ll have the freedom to set the standard: technically, operationally, and strategically.<\/p>\n<h2>Your responsibilities<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>Lead technical roadmap of system engineering team <\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Evolve and optimise our on-prem platform to maximise performance, reliability and security<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Collaborate with development how \u2018our\u2019 service and amplify their work<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Define, document and enforce clear technical standards, playbooks and procedures<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Oversee local network and development environments for smooth engineering workflows<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Proactively detect and resolve system bottlenecks before they become problems<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Automate repetitive tasks to increase speed and consistency<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Our tech stack<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>Kubernetes (container orchestration)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>ArgoCD (Gitops)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Ceph (distributed storage)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Linux (Debian\/Ubuntu)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Proxmox (virtualisation)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Docker (containerization)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Prometheus &amp; Grafana (monitoring\/metrics)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>ElasticSearch (logging\/search)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>FortiGate (security\/firewall)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>About the team<\/h2>\n<p><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/basenet.com\/\">BaseNet<\/a> is part of Blinqx, a fast-growing tech group that connects specialist software companies across different industries. Within BaseNet, we develop SaaS solutions tailored for the legal market, software that helps law firms manage cases, clients and communication seamlessly.<\/p>\n<p>As Senior System Administrator you will be part of the engineering team, reporting directly to the Head of Engineering of BaseNet. <\/p>\n<p>Our culture is open and collaborative: clear communication, shared ownership, and space to innovate.
